Celebrating the impact made by a century of Scouting needed more than a single date on the calendar. That’s why the Boy Scouts of America proceeded to launch a series of national and local programs spanning two years. And we invited everyone in America to get involved.
At the local and national levels, our organization came together as one Scouting family, one BSA, to celebrate a legacy that has helped shape the lives of more than 100 million young Americans. We honored the rich history of the BSA but also worked to strengthen Scouting for our next century of service and adventure.
In fact, we set out to celebrate in a way that was big, bold, and befitting of our first hundred years. To do things we’ve never done before. And as you’ll see in the pages of this book, boy, did we deliver! I invite you to enjoy this wonderfully presented overview of the BSA 100th Anniversary Celebration, salute to our National Scouting Museum, and look to the future at the Summit!
