No Turnin’ Back: G57, Michael L. Parson
On Monday, February 26, 2024, Michael Parson, fifty-seventh governor of Missouri, and First Lady Teresa Parson kicked off Governor Parson’s book tour at the Walsworth Community Center in Marceline, Missouri. No Turnin’ Back: G57, Michael L. Parson, by Dr. James K. Jones, tells the story of a small-town boy who, through hard work and a strong faith, was elected to the highest office in the State of Missouri. Edited, designed, and published by the Donning Company Publishers, the book was printed by Walsworth.
Marceline Mayor Sallie Buck acknowledged key people who worked on the book and introduced Dr. Jones, who spoke about his experience working with the governor. Governor Parson took the podium, stating he had chosen Donning/Walsworth because they are located in a small town and he was familiar with small towns.
Governor and First Lady Parson, along with Dr. Jones, signed copies of the book and visited with those in attendance. Proceeds from the book will go to the Moving Missouri Forward Foundation, created by First Lady Teresa Parson to support programs helping children in the state.
